There's going to be plenty of events taking place around Flint this weekend so now is the time to pick what you plan on doing. Stop by Longway Planetarium for their Laser Beatles show which will feature music from the Beatles or check out Planet Patrol if you want to learn more about the solar system.

If you like Middle Eastern food, you can stop by St. George Orthodox Church for their Middle Eastern festival. If you want some really authentic food, this is the place to go to this weekend. When you're there you should try the grape leaves and hummus.

If you want to watch the Kenyans run, head to downtown Flint for the Crim Festival of Races. There will be a Family Fun Zone, entertainment, food and more after the race. While you're downtown you can also stop by the Flint Farmers' Market to buy some fresh produce. BoDaddy's Dogs will also be donating 10% of the day's sales to the Old Newsboys.

This is also your last weekend to take part in A Day Out with Thomas at Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad. I took my niece and nephews last weekend and they had a great time. You can ride the train, meet Sir Topham Hatt and Bob the Builder. The kids can also make crafts, go down the giant inflatable slide and get lost in the maze.

Good Times in Goodrich festival is also taking place. There will be a pancake breakfast, craft show, a bake off, kids activities, battle of the bands and more. This is supposed to be a great festival as it gets bigger every year.

Hopefully some of these ideas have been helpful when you're trying to figure out what you're going to do this weekend.
