Local St. Patrick’s Day Food and Fun
Tis' the season when everyone is Irish. St. Patrick's Day is this Wednesday, if you are planning on eating traditional Irish food, you my friend are in luck. Between Genesee County, Lapeer County and points beyond - there are a lot of great local businesses serving some delicious Irish grub.
Keep in mind bars and restaurants in Michigan are only operating at 50% capacity. You may have to wait for a table, be patient. You also have the option of ordering food to go at most places, but again - be patient. Trust me, corned beef and cabbage is worth the wait.
I am sure there are more places celebrating St. Patrick's Day with Irish food, but my list below is a good start. If you are choosing to make a day of it, plan accordingly and get yourself a designated driver. I also recommend NOT pinching anyone who isn't wearing green (I have always hated that tradition). I also recommend not posting pictures of yourself drinking all day long on your social media pages, if you are going to call into work Thursday morning. Yes, there are people that need to be told that.
From live music with Cash O'Riley at Scooter's Bar & Grill, to green eggs by request at Sherman's Lounge - there is something for everyone to celebrate locally this St. Patrick's Day, and plenty of places to celebrate at. Eat, drink, repeat - have a fun and safe St. Patrick's Day. Cheers!
