Local Power Outages Could Last Until Thursday Night [PHOTOS]

Waiting for your power to be restored and knowing it may not be until Thursday is definitely a huge inconvenience.  But when you look at what happened in places like Illinois, Indiana and Ohio yesterday, as substantial as the damage is here... it could be much worse.

We were some of the lucky local residents that didn't lose power last night, but we were out for dinner last night when the storms hit and the restaurant lost power for a few seconds.  I was white knuckling it on the way home driving through wind gusts in excess of 50 miles per hour.

When I was driving to work this morning, I was amazed by the amount of trees, power lines, basketball hoops and trash cans that were knocked over and blown around.  Take a look at these photos I took this morning throughout Mundi and Grand Blanc Townships.
