Good grief - if that's not the BEST news, I don't know what is.

On Sunday morning, a limousine pulled up to the Shelter of Flint to pick up a lucky group of kids that were going to their first NFL game with some special volunteers from the local police departments.

The kids and their chaperones had sideline passes to the game, where they got to hang out on the field and watch the Lions warm-up and mingle with the players. And, after the game, the kids came back down to the field to kick field goals.

Police from Flint Township, Davison, Grand Blanc and more served as chaperones, and the Lions sent the boys home with team swag.

Puts things into perspective, doesn't it?
