Lansing Children Whipped, Held at Gunpoint, Locked in Dungeon-Like Room [VIDEO]
Details are emerging in the case of five Lansing children who have been reported to be tortured by their parents.
Police tell WILX that the five children -- one with cancer -- were routinely beaten, threatened with a gun, and imprisoned in a dark, dungeon-like bedroom. The children, who range from 6 to 11 years old, were held captive with no food or toilet.
The children's mother, Sarah Conde is currently in jail. Her husband, Yenier Conde, has not yet been taken into custody.
In May of 2017, the children told Child Protective Services workers that their parents would lock them in a room for days. One month later they told a Lansing police officer the same thing. The children also reported to CPS that their parents had threatened them by holding a gun to their heads.
Heaven Peterson, a friend of the children's mother disputes the allegations, saying the children were normal.
The children are currently in foster care.
