Thank Goodness! You Can See the New Wicked Movie Early in Michigan
Wicked is projected to have one of the best opening weekends at the domestic box office in 2024. Based on the Broadway musical inspired by the 1995 novel and characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the film follows the complex friendship turned rivalry between Elphaba, the green-skinned Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda, known as Glinda the Good. Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the cast also features Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, and Peter Dinklage.
Set to release on November 22, Wicked is estimated to earn between $100 million and $125 million during its opening weekend. Excitingly, there are ways to see the movie early in Michigan, with special screening events leading up to the official release.
