Michigan American Idol Casting Call – What You Need To Know
Attention Michigan singers - you have an opportunity to become the next American Idol. The popular television show is hosting an open casting call in Michigan on Monday, August 7th, 2023.
If you have always wanted to pursue a music career, this could be your big break. You don't even have to travel. The casting call process is being done virtually. All you need to do is register for your virtual live audition.
Contestants can pick their audition time (by state) here. Heads up, there is an age requirement to audition. Contestants must be born on or between June 2, 1994, and February 15, 2009. You can read the complete list of terms and conditions here.
If you do indeed meet all of the requirements, click here to schedule your audition time.
What have you got to lose? You might as well try. If you do try out and get a call back from the show - let me know. I would love to do a follow-up piece on any Michigan singer that makes it through the audition process and advances to the next round of tryouts.
You may recall Owosso, Michigan resident Rachel Dahl did get a coveted 'Golden Ticket' on the last season of American Idol. Nate Peck of Linden, Michigan impressed the American Idol judges too with a cover of a Dokken song.
You can see both performances below. Good luck, and break a leg.
Here's to you being Michigan's next American Idol.
