Think about how young a second grader really is. We're talking about a kid who's maybe 7 or 8 years old. Now imagine someone shows you a video of your child being bullied and repeatedly punched. Just thinking about it makes your stomach turn. It's disturbing, heartbreaking, and completely unacceptable.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, a Metro Detroit mom says she's pulling her second-grade son out of the Eastpointe Community School District after learning he was attacked by two other students on a school bus.

How Did The Eastpointe Mom Learn About The School Bus Bullying?

Kenidi Washington didn't hear about the incident from the school. Instead, another parent discovered a video of the attack on their child's phone and contacted her. The video reportedly shows two boys repeatedly punching Washington's son while riding the bus. I'm not going to lie, even though it's blurred out, it's hard to watch.

Michigan Mom Says School Never Reported Bullying Incident

Washington says she went straight to the school after learning about the video. That's when she says she was told administrators were already aware of what happened. So let me get this straight. They knew about it and never contacted the boy's mother? That's a whole different level of unacceptable.

As a parent, that would absolutely infuriate me. If my kid gets punched on a school bus, I shouldn't be finding out weeks later from another parent. I would lose my mind.

Eastpointe Police Investigating School Bus Bullying Incident

The district says the students involved have been disciplined and that this type of behavior won't be tolerated. Dean Transportation released a similar statement.

That's all well and good, but Washington still felt the need to contact Eastpointe Police, who are now conducting their own investigation into what happened.

According to FOX 2, the child appeared to be doing okay when they visited the family. Physically, anyway. Unfortunately, it's the emotional scars from being bullied and attacked that can stick around the longest.

I'm not sure what's worse here. The video showing a second grader getting punched over and over, or the other kids laughing while it happens. Both are pretty disturbing.
