Michigan's May 4: A Day Of 24 Weather Phenomena

On Monday, May 4, Michigan Storm Chasers confirmed that there are nearly 24 different weather patterns, side effects because of the weather, and confirmations that made it one of the most unique days in Michigan’s most recent history.

It was all capped off by a storm that had over 60 miles per hour wind speeds and rain in Southwest Michigan. But that’s just one of many different things that were happening across the state yesterday.

Probably the most interesting thing that occurred was the earthquake.

A magnitude 2.7 earthquake occurred about 1.2 miles west of Carlton in southeast Michigan. A few homes at around 5:32 in the evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

According to the survey, it was measured at a depth of 5.2 km, which is about 3.2 miles underground. There are at least 150,000 of those-sized earthquakes every year, but it’s very rare that we will get anything like that. But as I mentioned, that was just one of the rare things that took place yesterday. Let’s go through all of the different things that occurred:
