Who killed Jimmy Hoffa? It's a mystery that people in Michigan and across the country have been trying to solve for nearly 50 years. Now, a longtime Detroit journalist says he’s ready to share everything he’s uncovered.

Who Was Jimmy Hoffa?

Jimmy Hoffa was one of the most powerful labor leaders in American history, serving as president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters from 1957 until 1971. He was known for his tough negotiation tactics, connections to organized crime, and his mysterious disappearance in 1975, which became one of the country’s most infamous cold cases.

What Happened on July 30, 1975?

Hoffa disappeared on July 30, 1975, from the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox restaurant in Bloomfield Township. His disappearance has long eluded authorities, sparking countless theories, investigations, and tips that have led everywhere from Detroit warehouses to New Jersey landfills.

Investigative reporter Scott Burnstein believes he knows what happened to the famed Teamsters boss nearly 50 years ago. He’ll join retired federal prosecutor Richard Convertino and former mobster-turned-informant Nove Tocco for a seminar on Wednesday, July 23, at Macomb Community College, where they say they’ll reveal their findings.
