Hamady Sacks Coming Back? It Could be a Reality Next Year [VIDEO]

Long after the last Hamady grocery store was sold to Al Kessel in the '90s, people still referred to grocery bags as "Hamady Sacks." Almost 30 years later, we could see the return of the Hamady grocery chain, and the iconic Hamady sack.

Jim McColgan, who owns the Hamady name, tells ABC-12 he plans to revive the brand and open a Hamady grocery store in the former IGA site on Vienna Road, just east of Clio Road.

More Hamady locations could open in the coming years.
