Grand Rapids Inventor Hits Gold With Automatic Toilet Seat [VIDEO]

A product that automatically closes the toilet seat after each flush is paying off for inventor Tom Reminga. The Grand Rapids' man says his 'Flush Down' device is doing more than keeping dogs from drinking from the toilet.

"Our slogan is, 'Saving marriages and relationships, one flush at a time.'"

Reminga was a finalist in an online competition that ended Wednesday. The payoff is a $20,000, but regardless of the results he says he should be ready to start selling the product sometime this spring.
