Grand Blanc Woman Killed by Man Driving the Wrong Way on I-69 Near Durand

Two drivers, including a 41-year-old woman from Grand Blanc, were killed in a wrong-way collision on I-69 near Durand over the weekend.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 am Saturday (6/6) when a 75-year-old man from Pontiac pulled off onto the side of the road on westbound I-69 near the Corunna/Durand exit. He then did a U-turn and started driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes of I-69. Several cars were able to avoid the wrong-way driver, but the woman from Grand Blanc was unable to avoid a crash.

Both drivers were killed at the scene of the accident.

According to Durand Now, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
