No, we are totally not joking. Yes, you can really spend the night in the Goodyear Blimp.

If it's ever been a dream to see the inside of the massive "balloon" here's your chance. Listed on the popular accommodations site AirBnb,  "A Touchdown Stay in the Goodyear Blimp" the experience is up for reservation opportunities and will be ready to book throughout the day on October 15th.  Known for providing the best aerial views in sports, stays will be taking place at the blimp's hanger in Wingfoot Lake in Suffield, Ohio, just outside of Akron and hosted by Chief Pilot Jerry Hissem.
Hissem told USA Today, "They [guests] will have a tour of our facilities, highlighting our 100 year history and 60+ years of covering college football games. They will get to enjoy Wingfoot Lake and the complete tailgate experience. And, they will get to meet many of our crew and learn about the blimp.”

The big promotion is all part of  Airbnb honoring the 150th Anniversary of College Football and will take place October 22, 23, and 24 with one night stays being offered up for $150. Keep in mind that guests will not take flight in the blimp, but enjoy the total experience while on the ground.  The now high flying hotel will be stationed nearby to cover the big U of M -Notre Dame game on October 26th.

The Goodyear Blimp is being inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame later this year and will be the first non-player or coach to ever receive the honor. To book your stay head on over to AirBnb.com. Oh....and GO BLUE.
