Architectural Digest, the authority on all things design and decor, created a list of the most unique Airbnbs the country has to offer. Maybe not your traditional homes or apartments, but those places that offer more than just a bed to lay your head on.

"Whether it's a mod converted boxcar or an Old World–style home that serves as a testament to our nation’s history, the sky’s the limit when booking the best Airbnbs from coast to coast. And it doesn’t always have to cost thousands of dollars; some of America’s most gorgeous Airbnbs are less than $100 a night", they wrote.Whether it’s the art on the walls, architectural salvaging, spa-like baths, or chef-grade kitchens, get ready for some serious eye candy. Nearly every design style is represented, including Craftsman in Alabama, row house in Washington, DC’s Georgetown, Alexander-built midcentury modern in Palm Springs, and Frank Lloyd Wright–designed in Wisconsin. You’ll even find a yurt in Virginia and a castle in Washington."

What is Michigan's Best Airbnb Stay?

A Detroit Airbnb ended up getting a big nod from Architectural Digest for being a must-stay destination. Located in legendary Corktown, the "Design-centric Corktown Apartment" was designed by the same architects as the iconic Grand Central Station that's currently undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation by Ford. It's actually located right across from the famed building and in the heart of everything. Here's what caught AD's eye;

"This Corktown two-bedroom pad is all about Old World Detroit, with blankets hung on a wooden ladder, stained-glass windows, and exposed-brick walls throughout. It’s also an ode to local artisans, including a wool blanket crafted from Michigan-sheep wool".

According to the Airbnb listing, this isn't the first time the stylish apartment has been noticed. "This space has been featured in Martha Stewart Living, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit (made the 40 "Best Food Lovers Hotels in America" Awards), The Globe and Mail, Details Magazine, Conde Nast Traveller UK, and Afar", it reads.

Rates start at just $139 per night, which makes it totally fiscal-friendly for a night away in the D for a concert or sporting event. Take a look inside below.
