1940s Frank Lloyd Wright Home is One of Michigan’s Most Unique Airbnbs
Get ready to be teleported back in time and find yourself surrounded by a huge piece of history. The Eppstein House, a vintage Airbnb, is not only an architectural prize, but it's also a slice of Michigan history ready to be discovered.
Built in the area known as The Acres, the home was one of those designed by Frank Lloyd Wright specifically for a group of scientists working in research labs for Upjohn Company in the mid to late 1940s. This particular home was built for Samuel & Dorothy Eppstein, both employed at Upjohn.
Located in Galesburg, Michigan, The Acres is the only remaining neighborhood fully designed by Wright and contains just 4 homes, including The Eppstein House. This particular home, which is located at 11090 Hawthorne Drive in Galesburg, MI is Wright's Usonian design and took just over 3 years to build.
Recently the home was listed as one of the "Best & Most Unique Airbnbs in Michigan", and rightfully so with all it has to offer. Anyone who loves Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and a chance to take a step back in time, trust me when I say, this place is your hidden gem.

The current owners have painstakingly restored the home, since taking ownership in 2016, to bring it back to the grandeur that it was. Detail to color, tile, and even appliances was a priority. The furnishing even features many original Frank Lloyd Wright pieces, such as the dining table, and other furniture and art pieces from the same period according to the Airbnb listing.
Each detail is meant to take a visitor back to "days gone by", with an updated twist throughout the entire home and grounds. There's even a vintage collection of jazz albums to enjoy on the turntable to set the mood.
