First, God bless these men and the work they do.

But the question remains:  Why are these firemen dressed in drag?

Well, it turned out to be nothing scandalous! Just before the St. Patrick's Day parade in Padua, Minnesota a truck fire broke out near the parade route. Firemen from the nearby town of Sedan were all set to participate in the parade. The all-volunteer crew was there to celebrate its 125th anniversary, and raise money for a new fire hall and truck.

One firemen was planning to drive the truck, while the others would ride on the float, dressed in drag to entertain the crowd.

Certainly the scenario you conjured up in your head was a bit more interesting, right?
