After being threatened with duckling protective services, the mother duck swears that it will never happen again.

Firefighters and police officers responded to the seen around 8 AM yesterday at a storm drain near the intersection of Flint and Main streets outside Frankenmuth River Place Shops. "Apparently, someone saw the mother duck down there" and notified authorities," Fire Chief John Deterding told MLive.

After approximately an hour and a half, the firefighters were able to retrieve 18 ducklings and their mother from the drain. They were then released to the Cass River.

Ladies, in case it's not enough to love a man in uniform, how about a man in uniform who rescues ducklings?
