Fourth Graders Scrub School Toilets For Tardies

A few parents at a school in Houston are upset with administrators for making kids clean toilets because of showing up late to class. One fourth grader had to clean the bathroom because she had been late five times, according to WTSP. Parents were outraged that their kids' had to come into the school on a Saturday to clean bathrooms and floors.

The school says they're always encouraging students to do chores to help take care of their community and said they would never make them clean bathrooms. An administrator says it happened after an inappropriate joke was made by one of the teachers and the students took it literally.
