Flushing Candlewalk – A 30-Year Christmas Tradition
Like pictures by the fire in your Christmas jammies, writing letters to Santa, and Watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on TV, the Flushing Candlewalk has been a Christmas tradition for more than three decades.
Flushing Candlewalk Details
This year's Flushing Candlewalk is on Thursday and Friday, December 5 and 6 from 6 to 9 PM.
The event kicks off on Thursday with a parade of lights, welcoming Santa into town with a key to the city and the lighting of Flushing's official Christmas tree. After that, the Big Guy will visit with the kids at Gogins Hall.

From the Flushing Chamber of Commerce Website:
Flushing is proud of one of its most heartwarming traditions, the Annual Flushing Candlewalk. The Candlewalk first began over 30 years ago and has grown into one of the county's largest events! Thousands of softly glowing candles will light your way along the streets of Flushing. It is a sight not to be missed! Two evenings of holiday music provided by local singers, choirs, ice sculptures, live performances, "Lionel" train displays, s'mores, refreshments, and horse-drawn wagon rides are the business owners' way of saying "thank-you" to the community.
