Shock at Flint-Area School After Kids are Hospitalized from Eating Gummies

It’s hard to believe something like this could even happen inside a classroom, but several students from Richfield Public School Academy in Flint wound up in the hospital Tuesday morning after eating gummies a fellow student brought to school. It all unfolded quickly, and honestly, it’s the kind of situation that makes any parent or teacher take a deep breath.

Students Taken to Hurley After Eating Gummies

Flint Police were called in around 10:30 a.m., just after the students were rushed to Hurley Medical Center. At this point, investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what was in those gummies and how kids so young were even able to get their hands on them.

One parent who spoke out said she arrived at the emergency department to find nearly 10 of her child’s classmates there as well.
