It was a good day yesterday for Flint and state police who worked together with the community and were able to arrest five people in connection to the East Side arsons. Over 100 fires have taken place since April and as Mayor Dayne Walling says, justice is moving forward.

With the suspects in jail, authorities believe there will be more arrest warrants, additional charges and more fires that will be attributed to this ring. Mayor Dayne Walling believes as more tips come in and suspects start to talk, they'll be able to find more people who were involved.

Residents and the fire department must be happy with this accomplishment, especially since it looks like they'll be able to arrest even more who have been involved in over 100 fires on the East Side. The mayor also said earlier that it's very costly when going through the investigation of an arson fire because of so many departments that are involved in the case.
