We've all heard breakup horror stories involving crazy exes. I've had a few difficult breakups myself. But this just might be the craziest and most terrifying story I've ever heard. 21-year-old Harrison Jones allegedly made an 11-hour drive to a Pennsylvania home where his ex-girlfriend was staying.

The home, owned by a 22-year-old man that the suspect's ex was dating, was located in Bensalem Township, PA. Jones allegedly arrived on February 10th at 5:01 a.m. in a 2021 Volkswagen Passat. Just fifteen minutes later, surveillance footage shows smoke billowing from the residence as the intruder is seen running back to his vehicle before driving another 11 hours home to Michigan.

But a mere 30 seconds after returning to his car, a large explosion rocked the neighborhood. Six people fled the blaze, some jumping from the second floor. Police also reported that two dogs died in the inferno.

According to William McVay, Director of Public Safety for Bensalem Township, Jones drove approximately 11 hours, over 730 miles to follow through with his plan before returning to his Rockford, Michigan home. McVay added that the family was incredibly lucky to have survived the terrifying ordeal. The Sheriff's Office in Kent County, Michigan helped with the apprehension of Jones' who is now waiting to be extradited to Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

The following statement was released by police: “We would especially like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the Bensalem Township Police Officers, Fire Investigators, and Bensalem Detectives who took a grainy image of a vehicle and turned it into the arrest of a suspect who traveled over 700 miles and 11+ hours each way to commit crimes that nearly cost six people their lives.”
