Flint Junior Hockey Team Manager Steals $6,000
Dennis Polehna has told police that he’ll turn himself in today or tomorrow.
Polehna is the manager of the Orange Junior Firebirds team in Flint. He’s admitted to stealing around $6K from the team’s cash box.
A warrant is out for his arrest; he’s currently out of town.
He copped to using the money for dog food, utility bills and a family trip. Parents had complained about him previously, saying that their kids weren’t getting the ice time and equipment they had paid for.
It’s a five-year-felony of embezzlement. Will be interesting to see how this situation ends up - the only ones who really lose out here are those kids and their parents.
