Spoiler alert - everything on the internet is not true. Some Cracker Barrel locations have been testing booze sales before the pandemic, and some will start serving it, just not in Flint. How do I know? I called and asked.

I saw stories floating all over social media about booze at the Barrel. Before I got too excited, I made the phone call. I spoke with a nice woman named Wanda, who confirmed there will be no beer and wine sales at the Flint location next week. I don't know about future sales, but for sure not next week.

I have never been to a Cracker Barrel, but that will change if they do add spirits. Who doesn't love a fried pork chop and a beer? Or how about a chicken pot pie with a glass of wine? Now we are cooking!

All kidding aside, when I told my boyfriend Nick about the possibility of me getting crocked at our local Cracker Barrel, his response was something about wanting a dumpling. Looks like I'm going on a dumpling date soon.

Heads up if you are Cracker Barrel connoisseur, they will be serving a 'smaller and simpler-to-execute menu'. Without knowing who will be ready to dine in next week, it is smart to scale things down. If you are not ready to eat inside, or don't want to wait for a table, you will still be able to take advantage of curbside pick-up services.

See you soon Cracker Barrel Flint, see you sooner if you get that wine. Cheers!
