Another great story about people helping people in our community.

Dominique Copeland had only been working for the Lear corporation for four months when he was laid off. Before that, he was homeless. Because he only worked there for four months, he's not eligible for unemployment and feared that he'd be out on the streets.

After his story aired on NBC25 news, several people in the community stepped up to help, including Christopher Ascencio, a Flint barber who has rental properties. He offered one of them up to Copeland for free.

He reached out for many reasons but also because he and Copeland are both veterans. Copeland is moving in today.
