Flamin' Hot Cheetos. You're either in or you're out, right? An ice cream shop here in the Flint area is betting that some of us are willing to try the Flamin' Hot concoction on just about anything, including ice cream.

You're probably familiar with Kearsley Kone - the ice cream shop that gives away free ice cream to people who have common names and posts those names on its marquee each day. Now that ice cream shop is looking for those of us who occasionally have orange fingers because of our love for Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

Kearsley Kone is located at 5488 Richfield Rd. in Genesee Township

Flamin' Hot Cheetos on Ice Cream

Shop owner Matt Stimac came up with the idea of putting the crunched up goodness on ice cream cones and sundaes because his son really likes Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

“It’s used for our twists or our Sundaes,” Stimac tells Mlive. “It’s something I came up with, my son really likes the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. One day I decided let’s try it with ice cream and it comes out perfect.”

Stimac goes on to say that the new offering has been selling like crazy since its introduction.

“It’s not that spicy with the corn flavor; it’s amazing,” Stimac said. “It’s been selling like crazy.”

He says the new concoction actually has a cereal-like taste and texture. The Flamin' Hot Cheetos topping gives the ice cream a delicious crunch.
