I Scream, You Scream! Flushing Favorite Heading to Birch Run
Every small town has its favorite place that seems to epitomize the meaning of a locally owned Main Street vibe. From boutiques to barber shops, these businesses make "home" feel like home, and for Flushing no one wears that hat better than Cops & Robbers Ice Cream & Gifts.
Always a popular spot during the summer months, Cops & Robbers is more than just your neighborhood ice cream spot, it's the perfect place for gifts and more year-round. The original concept for the store happened in 2013 and opened its doors in 2015 in Flushing's former police station. With its popularity growing in and around Genesee County for years, especially with the addition of the Cops & Robbers Paddy Wagon, the mobile ice cream parlor, it's no surprise to hear the news that they are branching out.
Cops & Robbers owner Jennifer McDermott to Facebook to share the exciting news that Cops & Robbers will be heading to Birch Run. The new location is in the Birch Run Premium Outlets in the Nike section of the popular mall.
"Birch Run outlets asked me about bringing the ice cream truck for their deer widows weekend and I called to explain it was too cold for the truck in November, but I'd love to see what opportunities they had to recreate the 1st location in a high volume area", McDermott told us. "As luck had it a restaurant tenant was getting ready to move out and the space is perfect!"
The new location, which is aiming to open by the end of the month just in time for holiday shopping, with be the fourth for the Cops & Robbers brand. Davidek took over the King Par facility in 2018 to operate an ice cream shop and mini golf destination. The truck found life in 2018 and the third location, the Cops & Robbers Caboose, opened in Montrose in 2022.
