This story came up yesterday in Ohio and I actually didn't pay too much attention to it at the time. But after reading more about it today, it's hard to imagine this actually happened. Exotic animals escaped a farm they were living on after the owner threw their cages open and committed suicide. The sheriff's department had to kill 49 of the 56 escaped animals because deputies said it would have been too dangerous for the community.

Fox News reports the escaped animals ranged from tigers to bears and zoo officials agreed that the community wouldn't want to run into these animals. The six animals that did survive were taken to the Columbus zoo. No word on why the owner committed suicide or how long he had these animals on the farm. Or most important, how did he get all of these animals?
