Earlier this month we told you about an alligator that was found in a Cheboygan motel. That gator was found in Cheboygan which is located in Michigan's Lower Peninsula about 15 miles from the Mackinac Bridge.

That incident took place at the Pine River Motel when the gator named Wally was discovered. The owner had been contracted to two show off his collection of exotic animals. Apparently he had so many critters with him he somehow left poor Wally in the room. I was like a true 'Home Alone' story but with reptiles. The owner was back in Detroit before he was notified and made the four-an-a-half-hour drive back to Cheboygan to retrieve Wally. Police luckily did not arrest either the gator or his owner.

Now, less than two weeks later, another gator has been spotted in Michigan. This time is was in Lansing, the state's capitol. On the city's south side, Lansing Police were responding to a call asking them to remove a scaly, slithery and (to them) freaky suspect. When they arrived they were stunned that they weren't talking about a human being, but an alligator.

The police department took to social media on Wednesday and said, “This little gal gave our officers a bit of a scare at first but stole their hearts in no time”. They continued with “She was surrendered to Ingham County Animal Control to find a more appropriate home.”
