Phil Coke hasn't had much in the way of run support this season.  He got plenty tonight as the Tigers scored six runs in the first 4 innings.  Coke left the game after giving back six to the Diamondbacks in 4 2/3rds innings and didn't figure in the decision.

Ryan Perry, who was just recalled from Toledo pitched 2 1/3 innings of shutout ball.  David Purcey had just about got through the 8th inning when he gave up a two-0ut, 450 foot blast to Willie Mo Pena.  It was the 3rd longest homer in Comerica Park history, and would prove to be the winning margin as the Diamondbacks beat the Tigers 7-6.

The Tigers and Arizona Diamondbacks will play again tomorrow night at 7:05 in Detroit.  Justin Verlander will go for his 10th win of the season.  Arizona will start Homer, Michigan native Josh Collmenter.
