It was an emotional day in Sterling Heights Friday, as James Robertson picked up the keys to a brand new Ford Taurus. Robertson captured the world's attention last week when news that the Detroit man walks nearly 21 miles to and from work each day went viral.

"He almost started to cry, and I said 'James, you can't do that, you are going to make me cry too,'" David Fischer, Jr. of Suburban Ford told Detroit TV station WJBK.

Suburban Ford donated the vehicle to the man whose 1988 Honda broke down ten years ago. A Go Fund Me page which was originally started with the intention of raising enough money to buy Robertson a used car, has raised over $350,000.

Robertson, whose daily commute to his job in Rochester Hills will be a whole lot nicer, was humbled by the outpouring of support.

"Whenever I step in, it will remind me of where I've been," James said. "And where I'm going right now."
