Detroit Lions’ Home Opener This Weekend

The Detroit Lions home opener is this weekend, and Lion fever is running high in the city of Detroit. After an exciting road win in Tampa last week, the Lions are ready to defend their turf at Ford Field on Sunday against the invading Kansas City Chiefs. After a very impressive win last week the expectations are high for pro football's perennial loser.The rebuilding process has been underway since the 0-16 season, and this just might be the best team the Lions have put on the field in decades. Quarterback Matthew Stafford will lead the charge against the Chiefs on Sunday. Game time is 1pm.
