If you have been on Saginaw Street in Downtown Flint recently you have probably wondered what they are doing to the building at the corner of Saginaw and Second Street. That building has been an eyesore Downtown for quite a while now. According to WNEM, Mott Community College is bringing their Culinary Arts Institute to Downtown Flint.

The 36,000 square foot building Downtown will house five kitchens, a meat fabrication lab, and a confections lab. Stephen Shubert, the Dean of the Business Division at Mott even mentioned a student-run restaurant as part of the mix for that space. Mott Community College is planning to move the Culinary Arts Institute to the Downtown Flint space as early as next year.
