Crim Race Director Donates a Kidney to his Friend – The Good News [VIDEO]
He had the transplant on March 7th in Philadelphia.
Andy Younger, the race director of the Crim here in Flint, saw it on Facebook - his friend Marty, who lives in Philadelphia, has Polycystic Kidney Disease. It's a genetic condition, and it was at the point where it had become life-threatening.
His kidneys has gone from being 10 oz to 10 lbs a piece.
Andy, whose father passed away in January, couldn't shake the fear of Marty's kids growing up without a father, decided to act - with his wife's blessing, he donated his own kidney.
Both are making a "remarkable" recovery.
