Corunna Public Schools Will Delay School Start Due to Renovations

If you live in the Corunna school district summer break just got a little longer.

Corunna Public Schools posted on their Facebook page yesterday that the first day of school for students will be delayed. The scheduled start date for students in the district was August 24th, but according to the statement made by the school, the construction project will not be completed in time.

Some snags in the construction project that are causing the delay include poor soil conditions in the parking lots, additional asbestos being found, and difficulty in removing a wall in the high school office.

The start date for students in the Corunna Public school district is now Tuesday, September 5th.
