This Is The Best Motivational Speech to Start the School Year

We played this on the morning show and got so many requests about it that we wanted to share it with you here.

One of the best things about living five minutes from home is that AJ can jet back to the house and take a photo of our son before he gets on the bus for his first day of school and come back to work, which she did this morning. And it made me all nostalgic about my year in 7th grade.

Last night, I attempted to give him a pump-up speech, but it wasn't very good. What I wanted to say was, "In 7th grade, one of the nuns called a parent-teacher conference with my mom to tell her that she thought I was gay, so have a better year than that," but I didn't. I told him to do do his best and, if he falls, get up and keep going.

And then I found this, and I couldn't have said it better.
