Detroit’s Own Josie Pace To Compete On Music Show ‘No Cover’
I love music - but not necessarily music-themed reality shows. More often than not, I am not a fan of the judges featured on most of them and the lack of original music. If you feel the same, I have some exciting news.
There is a new music competition show that is set to premiere this week that not only specializes in contestants performing original music but also features some awesome judges - Alice Cooper, Lzzy Hale, Gavin Rossdale, Bishop Briggs, and Tosin Abasi.
'No Cover' premieres this Wednesday, April 20th, on YouTube. Get this - one of the artists competing on the show, Josie Pace is a Detroit musician. I have had the opportunity to meet Josie Pace and see her perform at The Machine Shop. I am beyond excited to see her shine on this new show. There are 28 additional bands competing for the top prize, including another band from Leonard, Michigan - The Native Howl. I will be writing a separate article on them.
What is the top prize? Good question. Here is the answer according to Loudwire,
The winners of No Cover’s first season will win a massive prize pack, including a six-figure recording contract with Sumerian Records, booking agency representation from UTA, management from the Shelter Music Group, high-profile festival slots via Danny Wimmer Presents, studio time at Nightbird Recording Studios, new gear from Gibson, brand endorsements, licensing opportunities and more.
As with any competition, I am guessing there will be some drama along the way. But most important - I hope we discover some great bands and music. Best of luck to Michigan's own Josie Pace. I will definitely be watching on Wednesday, until then check out the official 'No Cover' trailer below.
