I learned my lesson, and I want to make sure that YOU don't waste YOUR money.

We love our pets. And, like me, there's a LOT of pet owners who want to get Christmas gifts for their fur babies.

We're all aware of targeted marketing now - how you can online shop at The Gap and, all of a sudden, a Gap ad pops up in your Facebook feed. Creepy, but it's calculated.

Likewise, my love of cats had spread to my social media feed - I saw an ad for a company called Amazingly Cat. One of their videos kept popping up on my Facebook, and I fell for it - hook, line and sinker.

The toy looked so AWESOME! And I want to keep my kitties busy, so I bought it. Three of them, actually, because it was more cost effective to buy more than one. Ordered them in November - it didn't ship until December, and it was coming from China, which I didn't realize until I received the tracking number.

One of them was open and broken already...

...and the other two broke within 5 minutes. I expected them to break eventually; cats can be destructive little stinkers. But not THIS fast.

I've asked the company for a refund and have yet to hear back. The whole purchase cost $28, which isn't the end of the world, but still. Seems to be the big "thing" nowadays - hoping that what you order online isn't a cheap piece of crap from China, whether it's a cat toy or a prom dress.

Again, lesson learned. I just don't want to see any other cat owners waste their money. Meow indeed.
