Civilians Rescue People Who Crashed Through Ice on Lake Fenton [VIDEO]

Two people are lucky to be alive today after the ATVs they were driving crashed through the ice on Lake Fenton. Civilians were able to pull the pair to safety before officers from Fenton Township Police and the Genesee County Sheriff's Department Dive Team arrived.

Captain Steve Heiser tells WJRT that when rescuers arrived, the victims were attempting to recover an ATV from the water. They were then ordered off the ice.

"They were out, they were actually trying to jump back in the water to recover the four-wheeler, and we issued them all off, off the ice."
