Cedar Point’s Engineering Day to Teach the Science Behind Rides
Students will have the chance to see what really makes the rides tick at Cedar Point.
If you have ever been on a roller coaster, you know it can be one of the most exciting things you will ever do. Whether you're a fan of the huge drops, the inversions, or maybe just the speed alone, roller coasters and other extreme rides get your heart pumping and the adrenaline flowing. However, have you ever stopped to think about what actually goes into designing a roller coaster?
The engineers behind building roller coasters are the real heroes of your family trip to the amusement park. Now, Cedar Point is giving students the chance to see what goes into building their favorite rides. Engineering Day is back and will be taking place on Friday, May 13th, 2022. During Engineering Day students will get a look behind the scenes at what goes into designing, building, operating, and maintaining the rides and attractions at Cedar Point.
How much is Engineering Day at Cedar Point?
Engineering Day at Cedar Point costs $44.50 for students (7-12) as well as chaperones. The tickets include admission to Engineering Day, a meal, and a presentation. For those looking to take the whole class, the park will provide one free Cedar Point admission ticket with every 15 student tickets purchased. Click here for all the details.
I wish my class would have done something like this when I was younger. It would have been very cool to see the engineering side of my favorite roller coasters. I might still have a chance though as I really want to take my daughter to this.
