The holiday season is officially upon us, and the Cars 108 Christmas Calendar is the perfect way to make sure you don't miss any upcoming events.
There is so much to do in and around Genesee County during the holidays! If you don't plan well, you might miss out on an amazing holiday celebration.
The Cars 108 Christmas Calendar has a complete listing of celebrations, festivals, displays, and holiday kickoffs from Genesee County. We've even included a few of our favorites that are a short drive away.

Thursday, November 29th:
- A Tree-Mendous Evening Downtown Flint - The annual Downtown community tree lighting takes place at 5:00 pm at the corner of Saginaw and 2nd Streets in Flint.
Friday, November 30th:
- Grand Blanc Holiday Tree Lighting - The South pavilion inside Bicentennial Park is where the inaugural tree lighting will take place. Festivities will take place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Saturday, December 1st:
- Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic 2018 - December 1-2, 7-9, 14-16, 20-23, 26-30.
- Wonderland of Lights at Potter Park Zoo - Thursdays through Sundays now through December 30th.
- Holly Dickens Festival 2018 - December 1-2, 8-9 in Holly.
- Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village - December 1-2, 7-9, 13-16, 18-23, and 26-27 from 6:30pm to 10:00pm.
- Nutcracker at The Whiting - December 1st at 7:30 pm and December 2nd at 3:00 pm
- YMCA Santa Run - Downtown Flint at noon. The YMCA Santa Run is an un-timed 5k and 1-mile event for the entire family. Each participant will receive a 5-piece Santa suit to wear during the race.
- JingleFest & Jingle Jog - The Fenton Jinglefest takes place in Fenton from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. There will be a parade in Downtown Fenton beginning at 6:00 pm.
- Holly Jolly Holiday Party - Hanczaryk Chiropractic Neurology Group and Pfaff Homes want to celebrate the holidays with you. Join them from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for this free event.
- Holiday Home Tour in Frankenmuth - The Frankenmuth Women's Club has selected 5 Frankenmuth area homes and a church for the 2018 Holiday Home Tour. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
- Swartz Creek Firemen's Parade - The 34th Annual Christmas Parade takes place in Downtown Swartz Creek on December 1st at 6:00 pm.
- Santa at the Market - See Santa at the Flint Farmers' Market from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Tuesday, December 4th:
- Flint Holiday Walk - The Flint Cultural Center celebrates Christmas at Holiday Walk from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The tree lighting takes place at 5:15 pm.
Wednesday, December 5th:
- Classy Brassy at the Capitol Theatre - Celebrate the season in musical holiday cheer for the 7th annual free concert.
Thursday, December 6th:
- Flushing Candlewalk - December 6th and 7th from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. You'll find chestnuts roasting on an open fire in the middle of Main Street, warming stations throughout the area, and Santa Claus arrives to light the ceremonial tree. The Candlewalk kick off December 6th with a parade at 6:00 pm.
- Drumline Holiday Spectacular at the Whiting - The Live Holiday Spectacular is at 7:30 pm.
Friday, December 7th:
- Christmas on Main Street Parade - The Christmas Parade celebrates the beginning of the festivities along Davison's historic Main Street at 6:00 pm.
- Clio Candlewalk and Santa Parade
- Holiday Happenings in Linden - A family-friendly event with a Downtown lighted parade, carriage rides, Santa, and fireworks.
- Festival of Lights in Grand Blanc - The 2nd annual Festival of Lights takes place in Physicians Park from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Saturday, December 8th:
- Christmas Collaborative at Black Forest in Frankenmuth - 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm at Black Forrest.
- Christmas on Main Street in Davison - hayrides, children's activities, seasonal shopping and more on historic Main Street in Davison.
- Movies at The Capitol: Year Without Santa - Adult tickets are $5 and children are free. The movie is shown at 2:00 pm.
Sunday, December 9th:
- Holiday Remembrance Service at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Honor the life and memory of your loved ones this holiday season with meaningful music, inspirational readings, a message of hope, and an opportunity to light a memorial candle.
Friday, December 14th:
- Movies at the Capitol: Elf - Adult tickets are $5 and children are free. The movie is shown at 7:30 pm.
Saturday, December 15th:
- Holiday Pops with the FSO at the Whiting - The Flint Symphony Orchestra and Flint Symphony Chorus will bring your holiday favorites.
- Breakfast with Santa at Great Lakes Crossing - 8:00 to 10:00 am at Rainforest Cafe
Thursday, December 20th:
- Movies at The Capitol: Wonderful Life - Adult tickets are $5 and children are free. The movie will be shown at 7:30 pm.
