Burton Teens Build Play Areas for Eagle Scout Project – The Good News
Feel like we should play Men at Work for them this morning.
Three Burton teenagers took it upon themselves to do something for the community through their Eagle Scout project - they built three different play areas at Bahritte Elementary.
Jaxon McDaniel built a stage with a ramp and handicap seating. His brother Oliver built a fence around the area, and fellow aspiring Eagle Scout Samuel Mobley repurposed some sandboxes and built a mud kitchen.
The project was HUGE - it required state approval and help from an architect. There will be a ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony at Bahritte Elementary on August 22nd.
Fine young men we've got here! Congrats, boys!
