Bottoms Up – November is ‘Michigan Craft Beverage Month’
Besides the end of political commercials, Michigan residents have something more to celebrate in November: It's Michigan Craft Beverage Month.
Craft Beverage Month Starts With Farmers
Most Michigan counties have at least one craft beverage business, it starts with farming and agriculture. According to Michigan.gov, Michigan's climate is well-suited for producing excellent wine grapes, cider apples, hops, and grains for brewing and distilling.
Craft Beverages Are Good for Michigan's Economy
Michigan's craft beverage industry is a multi-billion-dollar industry, meaning it supports thousands of good-paying jobs and strengthens the local economy.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer made the proclamation on November 4, dubbing November a month to celebrate Michigan-made craft beverages.

"During Michigan Craft Beverage Month, I encourage Michiganders to join us in saying Cheers to the excellent products we make right here at home," Whitmer said. "Let's keep working together to support this iconic industry and grow our economy."
Michigan-Made Beverages Make Great Gifts
Jenelle Jarmin is the Michigan Craft Beverage Council Executive Director. She says the holidays easily lend themselves to supporting Michigan-Made products.
"Whether you're hosting or attending an event, a locally produced bottle pairs perfectly with festive meals," she said. "After all, Michigan is known for crisp, cool-climate wines, well-balanced hard ciders, iconic beers, and well-crafted spirits."
