LOOK AT THE WINGSPAN ON THAT THING!

On Saturday night, sheriff's deputies in Isabella County got a call about an injured bald eagle near Mount Pleasant.
They were able to locate the hurt bird near Rosebush and Chippewa Roads; they came with the help of bird experts from the Wildlife Recovery Association.

The deputies and the bird sanctuary safely recovered the bird; it's not clear how it was injured, but they expect it to fully recover and be released back into the wild.

Can you imagine trying to rescue a bird that big? Probably a welcome call for the police, who were happy to help with something a little different than the norm.
