An Anniversary Poem That Will Live In Infamy [AUDIO]
Today, my beautiful wife and I celebrate eight years together. I am struggling to find something for her that can top this heart-felt poem I read to her two years ago on the air.
Let me start by saying that I adore my wife. We have a very intimate, yet extremely sarcastic relationship. When this first aired, I got a lot of calls and e-mails from listeners shocked and angry that I would consider saying the things I said to my wife in a poem, let alone... ON THE AIR!
She had an idea of what I was going to do, but wasn't sure exactly what I would say.
Rod Prahin and former morning show co-host Erin Bishop had no idea what they were getting themselves into. In fact, when my wife called up after I read the poem, Rod was so uncomfortable he said "I feel like I'm standing somewhere I shouldn't be!" Her and I getting into it on the air was also planned, but the morning team again had no idea.
My poem to my wife:
My wife chimes in on my work of art:
Even though listeners called up to say that I was a jerk, my wife almost wet herself when she heard her surprise! She knew I was joking, so please don't think that I meant everything I wrote... just some of it!
