And they're looking for volunteers to help get things ready this evening if you're free.

Dog owners, unite! There's a new dog park coming to Genesee County!

The Burton Dog Park has their grand opening tomorrow morning starting at 11 AM at Our Risen Lord Lutheran Chuch, behind the old Walli's in Burton on Lapeer Road.

To make sure that everything is ready in time, they're putting some finishing touches on the park tonight and they're looking for kind-hearted volunteers.

From their Facebook page:

Help!
The grand opening of the Burton Dog Park is Saturday, October 3rd at 11 AM.
We need your help in getting the park ready on Friday. If you can help at 6 PM at the park, it would be a blessing.
The large piece of agility equipment needs to be moved, plastic pieces picked up and the asphalt spread around the edges of the park.
An hour of your time will go a long way in making the park look great for Saturday.
Needed items:
🐕 wheelbarrows
🐕 shovels
🐕 strong people to help move the agility equipment

Burton City Councilman Greg Fenner will be the emcee for the events tomorrow. Magoo's Outlet will be providing doggie bags with treats to the first 100 dogs that arrive.

I am SUPER EXCITED about this! I'll be there with my dog, Pepper, and I'd love to see you, too! This is a great addition to Burton and a wonderful location for it. There are dog parks in Grand Blanc, Fenton, and Davison and now there's one right in middle, with easy access from I-69.

See you tomorrow!
