A Flint Favorite Restaurant to Stay Closed After Fire
It looks like one of the Flint area's favorite restaurants is going to stay closed after a fire shut it's doors last year.
Empress of China on Dort Highway is now for sale. Back in November, Flint firefighters were called to Empress of China, 2320 S. Dort Highway, due to a fire. At the time the damage seemed to be minimal and the restaurant was closed for repairs. Since then the doors have remained closed.
A listing for the building popped up this week with a listing by Tremaine Real Estate for the price of $550,000 leaving many in the area disappointed in losing a long time staple in the area. The restaurant was opened in 1990 and had been serving outstanding Genesee county ever since.
Sad to see another great spot filled with memories and the greatest crab cheese ragoons ever close it's doors.
