Dr. Murray was recently found guilty in the death of Michael Jackson and now several Michael Jackson fans are suing the doctor over emotional distress. The lawyer representing 100 fans claim the loss they feel is compared to them losing a best friend in a tragic accident, according to the National Post.
If you didn't know by now, Dr. Conrad Murray was sentenced to four years in jail yesterday. Four years was the maximum punishment the judge could deliver, according to Yahoo. Murray will also have to pay restitution to Jackson's children which includes funeral costs and money lost as a result from him dying before he was able to go on tour.
Now that a guilty verdict has been handed down in the case of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was accused of involuntary manslaughter regarding his patient Michael Jackson, the doctor has been remanded to custody and was promptly placed on suicide watch in the L.A. County Jail while he awaits sentencing. Murray’s sentencing is slated for Nov. 29.
The verdict has been reached, and a jury of seven women and five men found Conrad Murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. Deliberations lasted only about nine hours, beginning Friday, and adjourning for the weekend.
