I'm a Flint native. I attended Holy Redeemer High School, and later graduated from Mott Community College with an associate's degree, and the University of Michigan-Flint with a bachelor's degree. I joined Cars 108 in 1985 and became the host of the Cars Classic Lunch in August of 1987.  I took over as Program Director of WCRZ in 1989. I also hold a part-time position at Mott Community College teaching Communications 131, a public speaking class. I am blessed and fortunate to hold two jobs that I love!

Paying A $1,200 Bill With Coins = Lawsuit

When it comes to paying your bills, some people would rather try and make a statement, than to do it the easy way. A client in the United Kingdom was upset with his accountant's fees and decided to express his irritation by paying him in coins.  But, in the end the accountant got the last laugh by filing a lawsuit.

The Crash of the Cars 108 Tower! “The Day The Music Died” In Flint! [AUDIO]

It was seventeen years ago today, May 14th, 1995, Mothers Day. I was awakened about 3am by a call from our station engineer telling me that Cars 108 was off the air. After going to the tower site to check the transmitter, he found that the Cars'108 broadcast tower was down. Not just "down" as in not functioning, it was "down", laying on the ground. Somewhere in the course of the night it had crashed to the ground.

Rare Occurrance: A Little League Triple Play

It's is one of the rarest things in sports. Not just a triple play, but an "unassisted" triple play. It has happened on 15 times in Major league history. There have Probably been more that 15 in Little League play because of the sheer volume of games, and the base-running skills (or lack of them ) at the lower level.

Friday Classic Lunch Trivia – Did You Know? (Poll)

Today on the Cars' Classic Lunch we played our usual game of musical trivia. Usual in the sense that we play everyday about 12:30pm, but unusual in the fact that Friday is set aside for those who may not be very good at trivia. Especially for that group we created "First Timer Friday". That means the trivia winner cannot have ever been a winner in musical trivia on Cars 108 through the 24 years it has been going on. That puts a lot of former winners on the sideline, and there is always a handsome reward for our daily winners. Here is a picture today's artist. Take the poll after the jump and let me know if you knew who it was.
